You can't miss it! Free subscriptions!
This week a couple of features are going to be deployed to this Community site. Since last week we had been testing the news subscription feature and finally today (after some bugfixing), it's publicy released.
Until some weeks ago our main way to share any Community news was through the Indiegogo Updates.
Hello everybody and welcome to my first blog post.
For everyone who doesn’t know me I’ll first introduce myself.
My name is Robert Naumann and I’m part of the community since late 2006.
At first I just took a look from time to time, checked every new release to see how progress was going on. Later I started to perform some tests, created bugreports, retesting some existing bugs and finally (let it be two or three years ago or so) offered my first own patch. Nothing big, only a resizement of a label element in a resource file, IIRC.
Now I’m more or less part of the Community Edition team, which was a bit accidental.
PR related it happened the following:
T-shirts are, finally, heading your home
Yesterday we were confirmed that ReactOS Indiegogo T-shirts were being shipped. So if you bought a perk during the campaign which included a T-shirt, then you'll have it really soon in your hands.
It took a little bit longer than expected so thanks once more for your patience. If there isn't any bump in the road, or a hard cloud in the sky, your door will be knocked pretty soon...
Hello everyone! Long time no see!
As some of you will probably know by now, I had a cooking accident, wherein my hand was splashed by very hot olive oil. I will skip the shameful details, but I want to say that for the next 10 days, I was unable to code properly.
After those first 10 days, my bandage was replaced by a lighter dressing, which allowed me more mobility in my hand, and I began looking at my TODO list, for something “lighter” to pass the time. I Chose STObject.dll, for which Robert Naumann contributed a skeleton of the dll and the build system files needed for the skeleton to compile.
Each week a new surprise. That's our current objective for this month.
Today the ReactOS Community blog is opening its doors to all the news regarding the Community version. Until now all the hot news were sent using IndieGoGo updates so those not following the IGG page, or who didn't back us, weren't able to track properly our progress. A collaborative blog regarding the Community Edition is a must have for the rest of the "world" out there...
