Welcome to the ReactOS Community blog!

Written by

Each week a new surprise. That's our current objective for this month.

Today the ReactOS Community blog is opening its doors to all the news regarding the Community version. Until now all the hot news were sent using IndieGoGo updates so those not following the IGG page, or who didn't back us, weren't able to track properly our progress. A collaborative blog regarding the Community Edition is a must have for the rest of the "world" out there...

During this month we had been hacking and tweaking the pipes and tubes of this website. Probably it looks the same now, but the work done allows new demanded features, as this "Blog", which includes enhanced social sharing, open comments, and other surprises. The site revamp comes with new sections which will be published soon, as the expected "Voting results" and other improvements which you've requested in the ReactOS forum or directly in our email.

Slowly we'll be pushing new and updated content. If you discover any bugs on this website, please report it to us in the comments or through our email.

Now the website is ready, and the votings result about to be published. Keep tuned!

Please restructure the sentence "If you discover any website bug, happens, please report us in the comments or through our email."
Unless I miss my guess, you mean "If you discover any bugs on this website, please report it to us in the comments or through our email."
Use that or refactor yourselves, but as it is it's rather hard to understand.

Seems quite decently done, Vic. (My god, is that you there in the pic? I imagined you completely different, like...more of the typical IT-nerd. There, you look like...some sort of slick manager. Not sure if that image is an improvement. ;-p ) But seriously: while it seems ok, some details could be better. As the former poster said, the sentence "If you discover any website bug, happens, please report us in the comments or through our email." doesn't make much (grammatical) sense.

I'm not sure how easy you made things to translate, but be aware that auto-translations (like google translate) are only useful in a limited way, and always needs correction afterwards.

    But anyway: a good start!

Sadly that ugly guy with bad "Engrish" is me. I have better photos, playing Pac-man or "saufe" of b33r, sadly this is the only serious one I have around.
I don't get if you are trying to say the post was auto-translated by google translator, or if you're asking about how translating will work once implemented. Anyway, and answering both doubts: This post was written from scratch without google translator and yes, the idea is to use a system based in human translators. But it'll have to wait a couple of weeks once I find guys willing to help ;) and after deploying all the work already done.

    Here's a bug/issue:
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th paragraph's font and/or formatting of this blog post doesn't match the first paragraph's font, the one that it must match with.

What does the React-O-meter do, exactly? Is it related to the activity on the site (amount of comments)? To the level of donations the IGG project or other income-manner ROS has? Something else?

  • Comment Link Víctor Martínez Sunday, 03 August 2014 09:50 posted by Víctor Martínez

The React-O-meter is right now measuring the IGG amount donated.
However, as you can expect, this is a hint of something coming really soon.
    So keep tuned ;)

It's supposed to be a *whistles* "feature" (a little bit odd at first sight, but probably useful when you get used to it).
Basically, the blog changes the font of the paragraph which is shown as intro text in the main /news/ page.
This way, if you've already read the intro text, your eye will know where to follow.
If others think it is annoying, just drop here a message and I will just modify the CSS ruling it.

Its like you learn my thoughts! You seem to grasp so much approximately this, like
you wrote the e-book in it or something. I think that you simply
can do with a few % to drive the message house a little bit, however instead of that, that is excellent blog.

An excellent read. I will certainly be back.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied
on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about,
why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could
be giving us something informative to read?

You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation but
I to find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I'd never understand.
It kind of feels too complex and very huge for me.
I am taking a look ahead in your next put up, I'll
attempt to get the dangle of it!
