Community: Discover the 3 most voted apps!

Written by

You voted for them. They're now the 3 most voted apps!

When we planned the IndieGoGo strike, one of our main objectives was to fulfill your wishes, and we thought that the best way to do that was to let you choose where to place the money raised during the campaign.

While the IGG campaign didn't reach the expected money-goal, we keep our word and we'll be pushing ReactOS development towards the 3 most voted pieces of software and hardware. It will take a bit longer, but it will be done.

More than 80 apps voted and +150 votes cast!

It took us quite a while to collect all the votes and to check if the apps voted were really compatible with Windows XP. Luckily the 3 most voted apps seems to work perfectly in that Windows version.

As we mentioned in the voting rules, those backers who didn't vote with a specific software version had their votes added to the most voted version of their selected software.

In order to boost the development, we have released an USB Adoption strike so you can help us to push the React-O-meter up! Adopt an USB, make him happy, and let us hire an additional developer!

It is soo cute!

During the last weeks we have been working on the ReactOS Community Edition, so if you bought a BetaTester perk, you should have received a notification about your early access to the first ISO. It is full of bugs but the snowball is officially running down the hill.

As we strive for openness and transparency, we have published all the "Votings" in this page. This way you can check how many votes each application has received and what were the three most voted ones. If your application is not one of the three most voted, don't worry because your contribution will let us to work in some areas which will have a direct impact not just in your application but also in others, because fixing a bug can indirectly fix a lot of other bugs. And no, I won't spoil the fun for you. Discover which are the three most voted on your own! ;)

Feel free to contact us if your vote is not there (highly unlikely, but we're humans after all) but please check you cast your vote(s) during a valid voting window.

We will publish the Hardware results soon! Don't miss them by joining our Newsletter in the sidebar!

Hooray, finally the results are there! I like how you toyed with them instead of plainly stating which 3 apps made it.
This makes me verry happy - I know that I could really make a difference with my votes and also that I actually like every one of the 3 "winner" apps. Go ROS:CE!

Well, the top 3 are pretty much expected classics. Bit pity FF wasn't selected, though.

But, I must say, Vic, the 'adopt an usb' with the usb-in-a-diaper drawing was hilarious and made me laugh. A good find, and funny as hell.
